The attack of a disabled woman

LAST UPDATE
None of the deputies have yet been identified or indicted
CHECK THE BACKGROUND
KEEP INFORMED ON THIS NEWS

Sheketha Holman, a disabled woman in a wheelchair, was filming her daughter’s arrest with her cellphone camera

Holman posed no threat to the officers

However, it didn’t stop one of the officers from violating the woman’s rights by grabbing and tossing away her cellphone

The cop ordered the woman to put her hands behind her back

After repeatedly telling deputies that she was physically unable to place both arms behind her injured back, the woman collapsed out of her wheelchair as officers ignored her medical concerns and tasered her

Holman has been suffering from severe back injuries, including back surgery and a hit-and-run accident, and needs a wheelchair to rely on

It’s still not clear why the deputies felt excessive force was necessary against a disabled woman posing no actual threat

Holman was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and trespassing

Where

Harris County, Texas, United States

When

November 16, 2016
